Title: Instructor of Violin, Viola, Cello and Upright Bass
Genres:
Classical and Jazz
Skill Level: Advanced, Intermediate, and Beginner
Education:
Lebanon Valley College
I began my studies on violin at age 8. Throughout my formative years, I had inspiring music teachers to guide me on my journey. I hope that I can do the same for my students!
I graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 2020, with two degrees in Music Education and Music, with a concentration in Violin Performance and Pedagogy.
During my collegiate years, I also had the opportunity to play viola on a professional level, while also learning cello and bass. One fun fact about me: I also marched the sousaphone in the Pride of the Valley Marching Band!
As a musician, I was classically trained. Nowadays, I enjoy playing on local bands' albums, playing in weddings, which I do mostly by ear, and improvising in worship, jazz, and more! To me, aural skills are just as important as reading, especially as a strings player!
Currently, I am an elementary strings teacher at the Cumberland Valley School District. I have also taught secondary strings in public schools as well! You will find that while I expect my students to put their best effort forward at all times, I am laid-back and all about making a personal connection with my students!
